Fox on John

Went to brunch today at Fox on John for their bottomless brunch and it was amazing. The food was really good, and despite some previous reviews we had read, everything actually came out quickly. The price was great for what you get, and the bottomless mimosas were definitely a highlight. Huge shoutout to our servers Julia and Zoe — they were super attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, such a fun brunch spot with great vibes, good service, and good value. Definitely coming back!

Had such a wonderful experience at Fox on John for a weekend brunch gathering! The food and drinks were absolutely amazing — everything was delicious and beautifully done. The service was exceptional, and our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the experience. One of the highlights was the in-house entertainment, which was such a lovely surprise. The magician in particular was fantastic and added such a fun and memorable touch to the atmosphere. A huge thank you to the team for making our gathering so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend Fox on John for a great dining experience!

I’ve been here several times, and it’s always a great experience. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is amazing. My friend and I had a great time watching the game today. A special thanks to Anastasiia for her outstanding servic. She was so friendly and welcoming, even while handling a busy shift. We’ll definitely be back! 🌮🍸

Decent meals in a very energetic and lively atmosphere. We unknowingly visited on a night with a live DJ, and while I can appreciate the craft, and without being too much of a prude, it was perhaps a bit too loud for the relatively tight interior space which made it incredibly difficult to hold a conversation. The nachos appetizer came out about 3 minutes prior to the mains and the table was not big enough for everything. Once we got everything Tetris'd on, it was unfortunately not extraordinary (albeit decent). The nachos had great toppings which were evenly distributed, my big mac pizza had a unique flavour, one could say almost akin to an actual big mac, but it came out narrowly scalding hot. My partner's chicken sandwich was met with a "just okay" reaction and looked fairly mediocre. I will say our waitress was very friendly and very helpful with getting everything we needed, and the prices seemed reasonable.

Great $15 pasta special on Wednesdays! Seriously, don’t know where else you can get such a great deal in the downtown core. Came for pre-show dinner, as it’s in a prime location within 5 min walk of all the mirvish theaters and Roy Thompson hall. Since it was still before 7pm, we got to enjoy a bunch of apps that were discounted, bang bang shrimp, truffle fries, and of course need some greens, so got the charred broccoli. All were good, would order again. I can definitely see myself coming back for just drinks and apps post work. Most of the pasta specials were cream based, but that’s usually my go-to when eating out. Between the three of us, we shared the lobster pasta and the smoky bacon spaghetti. Tbh I loved the lobster sauce but would have preferred it on spaghetti vs the pappardelle (long flat). The smoky bacon was also good, but how can one pass up a lobster option ;). Not much of a drinker, but the mocktail selection was very good (and reasonably priced). Ordered the temple run which had nice tropical flavour which went well with the apps we ordered. Highly recommend a reservation since the place was packed! On that note, pretty tight quarters, and you have to go up a few steps to get to the bathroom, so not very wheelchair friendly. All in all great experience, we were in and out in just over an hour which was perfect timing to make our 7:30pm show at the nearby princess of Wales theater.
