Not straightforward. Headache-filled transactions (late 2023). Just optics and calculativeness. Seasoned liars. Highly dishonest. Predators. The company owner routinely misrepresented information, took inaccurate measurements and quoted high-end brands, only to deliver off-brands. They cunningly issued photocopies of partial/concealed receipts and resorted to DARVO. Record your conversations at ALL times. Fraudulent inducement. Overpromise and underdeliver (ask for close-ups). Egg you towards cost-saving suggestions for them to pocket unspent funds. Sneak in severely overpriced ‘warehouse’ items (arbitrary quotations). Non-itemisations (intentional opacity). Non-quantifications. Foreman/Supervisor absenteeism. Labourer tardiness. Only half the project was done (17m2, finishing), citing fund depletion (mismanagement). No contract was signed, revealing their greed and lack of integrity. My calls went unanswered once they couldn't keep up with their lies. Commission-based.
