A heartfelt thank you to Teacher Lena and her team (especially Mr. Lee and Ms. Florence) for guiding my son from Primary 4 through Secondary 4. Their dedication, care, and commitment to every student truly stand out. With their guidance and mentorship, my son improved remarkably—from F9/C6 to B3 in EMaths, AMaths, Chemistry, and Physics within just six intensive months. Today, he has successfully secured a place in a reputable Polytechnic in his desired course. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support, encouragement, and belief you have shown him throughout this journey. Thank you once again for making such a meaningful difference in his life.
I was an ex-student here and have taken lessons from Sec 1 to 4. Overall, lessons have been very effective in helping me clear my doubts and gave me the confidence to tackle my O Levels. My teachers have always been patient and did not create a stressful atmosphere in classes. On days when I was too ill to come physically, Teacher Lena and the admin try their best to accommodate with online zoom sessions and sending softcopy materials to me for reference at home. I hope these subject reviews (and my O's score), though lengthy, may help someone who is considering. P.Chemistry (taught by Teacher Florence) [A2]: Most lessons involve going through selected open-ended questions in 4-5 worksheet sets per chapter, as well as ~4 sets of MCQ to complete as homework and corrections. Teacher Florence sets clear targets for distinction. Notes are given for each chapter. Some difficult and fundamental chapters are supported with printed mind maps, tables with blanks to fill in and writing notes on our own. There are also Topical Reviews to get me used to answering techniques. Nearing O's, Teacher Florence gives lessons on how to answer questions on Paper 3 - Practical. She taught class on habits to make work efficient during exams, as well as going through common questions asked based on given data. P.Physics (taught by Teacher Hema) [A1]: Teacher Hema provides detailed notes that contain MCQ and Open Ended Questions for each sub concept. Based on my progress, she helps to adjust the homework load so that I don't feel the burnout. She supported me in regularly memorising definitions for common Physics terms and gives deeper explanations for me if I still do not understand the solutions. She has many school papers for the class to work on and tries to make it effective for each student in class by selecting different questions that we're weak in. Nearing O's, Teacher Hema gives me bite-sized notes for quick revision as well as practical exam notes tackling common weaknesses such as precision, experimental flaws and improvements, giving me a peace of mind. A.Maths (taught by Mr Lee) [A1]: Mr Lee's chapter notes contain guided examples for different types of standard questions asked. These notes also contain classwork/homework questions separated into different levels of difficulty to help me gain mastery (with finals answers for self reference) He goes through questions that students have raised to him and will help clarify any further doubts after providing the solutions. After finishing the syllabus, Mr Lee gives revision through test papers from other schools, mini tests and revision questions based on the common topics students have in WAs. Mr Lee gives students a lot of courage to explain how we would go about challenging questions and concepts before he gives the answer, something small but I find really meaningful. English (taught by Teacher Kristy) [A2]: Composition and situational writing practices are helpful in training me to plan before I write. Apart from the story mountain and PEEL formats drilled, there were also techniques like sequencing to help me draft quicker and better. Teacher Kristy also utilises analytical reading of comprehension passages and provides a lot of support for Summary writing and drafting. For Oral, I enjoyed the extra reading passages that she gave to help me build more content and ideas on societal issues such as the youth, environment and job inequality for spoken interaction. There are also mock questions that she gives to drill me in writing notes from the visual stimulus. As Teacher Kristy tries to make sure that everyone is on the same track and that every student gets a chance to contribute, the pace may be slow. Nevertheless, the lessons are still informative enough for me. :) Nearing Prelims and O Level Season, Elucidation supported me with Mock Exams to give me a rough guide of how I answer and think under exam pressures. They do offer a few teacher consultations for students, though I didn't attend them. Lastly, I want to thank all my teachers for helping me in my journey.
it has helped me for my science especially the physics part, I use to not understand it and always just pass or just fail but once I started I have been getting A. chemistry was also really good and always made me the top in my class for it and I grew to like science. amath was really good as well as I was not getting really good grades and didn't understand some of the topics so im very happy that being in this tuition center has helped me to improve my grades so much and will always be thankful for it.
I joined in Primary 3 and continued all the way to Sec 4, and they are fantastic. I have met alot of great teachers, tution mates and most importantly my grades have also been pulled up alot over the years. I could not have gotten my good results without them. Teacher Lena was a fantastic math and science teacher to me back in primary school and really helped developed my character when I was young. Teacher Florence had taught me in primary school and Chemistry in Secondary school, without her, I would've fallen behind the class. Teacher Hema was a great physics teacher in secondary school, she is always extremely patient and kind and also an excellent teacher. Every single teacher there is as good as the next. Without this tution, I don't know where I would be today. To sum it up, I REALLY REALLY am grateful for them and recommend Elucidation to everyone else.
