It is expensive and people are constantly trying to sell you things. The food is also expensive for what it is. The cantaritos seems a bit overprice. They have musical bands that play on the weekends and there are plenty of stores to visit in the sorrounding areas. It is a family friendly enviorment. We recommend eating in one of the surrounding areas.
The food is okay, there's music starting at 3 pm, it's currently under renovation, there's no longer a minimum purchase, but be sure to check the bill carefully as they often overcharge.
It is said to be the largest cantina in the world because of its many restaurants surrounding a kiosk, where you can taste birria or another dish with some tequila among its many sarcas while enjoying a show in the kiosk or a mariachi next to your table, a place that if you are in Tlaquepaque should not be missed for any reason in your itinerary
I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is super nice and, in my opinion, very safe. The food inside where the concerts are held wasn't the best; the place we went to was Pacos. However, the service was absolutely top-notch! The meats weren't very good, the shrimp was okay, and they give you a tiny portion of beans and rice.
The downside is that there's no parking outside the Parián; the few parking spaces available are exclusive.
