i have been learning with teacher daryl for about 9 months, and my English has improved. Their lessons are engaging and easy to understand, and they always explain things clearly. they are patient and encouraging, which really helped me gain confidence. I’m really grateful for their guidance and support.

I joined Daryl’s lessons rather late in my IGCSE cycle, worried it might be too late to catch up. To my surprise, he quickly identified what I needed to work on most urgently. He had a knack for making dense topics digestible through relatable stories, which helped me remember details when it mattered. His technique of cross-referencing different parts of the syllabus also made everything click into place. By the time exams rolled around, I was miles ahead of where I started, and that’s all thanks to his tailored approach.

Initially, I was convinced I’d never pass my English O Levels, as comprehension passages always left me stumped. Daryl’s patient approach, however, helped me see that I was simply missing a structured method. He introduced me to annotation techniques and taught me to look for critical keywords. More importantly, he kept track of my progress meticulously, checking in with me outside of lesson time to ensure I stayed focused. By the end of the journey, my confidence had grown to the point where I no longer dreaded exam papers.

Preparing for IGCSE Geography with Daryl was a refreshing journey. Right from the start, he was big on context, encouraging me to relate what I studied to my surroundings. That sense of practicality made me actually enjoy learning about physical and human landscapes. He also turned out to be a treasure trove of exam tips, walking me through TYS and pointing out common mistakes. As exam day approached, I was no longer overwhelmed by the course load, which felt like a small miracle.

Overall, even though the time was short as he only taught me for half a year, the sessions I had were fun. Learning from Mr Daryl was good and it allowed me to learn many skills and techniques in how to tackle many sections like comprehension and others. Overall had a fun experience, including the fact that he shares his own experiences with me and not just teach.
