Homely, simple and unpretentious deco that feels a bit late 1990s but don't let it fool you - this place is a hidden gem that serves really delicious fare! Really loved their oxtail - tender and flavourful! You can tell that the chef did not stinge on the red wine at all, even the sauce was so good! Possibly the best one I had in SG so far. We had their baked scallops as appetizer and they were so fresh, plump and succulent. I feel that the chef Vincent is someone who really has a passion for serving delicious food to his customers! He Service was good too! I will be back to try more dishes!

Dolphins Tavern made our party of 11 very welcome. The chef personally came out to talk to us with his recommendations. Even before today, he'd already called our organiser to discuss our main dishes. We chose the Peranakan menu which turned out superb. The beef rendang was tender; ayam buah keluak had a deep, rich flavour; the fried sea bass in special secret sauce was tangy and crispy; the chef changed the sambal prawns to off-menu assam prawns for the less spicy-oriented in our party. Even the chap chye which is normally not my fave dish was tasty. For dessert, he brought out another off-menu item, Mao Shan Wang a la mode, a bitter-sweet treasure. Every dish here has an authentic home-made personality, hard to find anywhere else. For a versatile offering of food including negotiable off-menu items, this understated eatery in sleepy Seletar Hills really hits the spot.

I ate here the first more than 5 years ago. The food left an impression on me and so I am back again on sat 27 Sep. Food: Steak is yummy. Asked for medium will got medium well. Plus packe with nicely grilled beef taste. Chicken not fancy but taste good well cooked. Next time I'm going to order the fried chicken and maybe the peranankan dish which Chef recommends. Service: Very pleasant. The waitress recommended a few dishes, we didn't order any of those in the end but she wasn't pushy and remained friendly. Ordered the steak, waitress advised medium well since it is not served on hot plate so medium might still be too pink for us. The steak was cooked perfectly to put preference. Chef is friendly too, but not intrusive. Can let he really puts his heart into cooking. Atmosphere: I love this family restaurant/local eatery vibe. Reminds me of old sch jack's place, UK pub house, Japanese family run restaurant. Very quiet, only two tables occupied so I hope they have more business to keep afloat. FnB in sg is hard to survive these days, and this place is a neighborhood gem. Fingers crossed.

First time here with my extended family members to celebrate dad's birthday. This nest is located in a very quiet corner in Seletar hills area and I guess mostly people living here will know them. It's a very family oriented type of bistro with super friendly staff and chef. There is only two of them normally so have to wait a while for the food to be served but they are consider fast. Overall the food is tasty and nice with passion being added to the dishes. A highly recommended place for anyone in the area or looking for reasonable price western fare or Peranakan food. Thumbs up!!!

Quaint little spot with tasty hearty food. Ordered chicken with fish & chips, and nearly couldn't finish it between the 2 of us. 10/10 would eat again.
