This is my third time here seeing the 3D cat. It is as adorable as ever 😻 Your only issue would be navigating Shinjuku Station, or finding your way around the area if you’re on another side of the station.
One of the first 3D-effect LED signs in the world. Iconic in Shinjuku, day or night. There are different advertisements throughout the day. All spectacular. Stick around and you will find one that is applicable to your interests. It is located within walking distance to the world’s busiest crosswalk. Make sure to pay a visit to this world renowned AD display!
We just passed by going somewhere else and wasn't even aware until we looked up and saw the giant cat. It looked so realistic and three-dimensional we ended up staying for quite a while. For as long as we were there in the cold (January 2024), the animation didn't repeat and it even appeared on the other building. Worth seeing if you around Shinjuku area!
Finding a good spot here that doesn't end up blocking pedestrians here might be a challenge but we'll worth it. Stick around for a while as you see various different advertisements being played. Of course the cat makes a frequent appearance but every once in a while you get to enjoy something that isn't played frequently. Best to come here at night so that the illuminations are vividly displayed. Once you're done you can head over to Omoide Yokocho for some delicious yakitori and Highball!
Honestly best crossing so farr, worth a walk atleast there are something interesting to see!!!
