Chimichanga Holland Village

I visited on a Sat night. The occupancy at 7pm is almost full. Tbh, I feel that this place suits patrons who wants to chill and have some Mex food; won't go into another mex restaurant that is nearby. Coming back to the venue, it is easily accessible from the MRT exit and visible with gaudy lights. The prices are not considered budget in my books esp with service charge and GST. But it is a good experience if you come on an occasional basis. The nature of the restaurant limits space and ventilated with ceiling fans; no air-conditioning. Food wise, they are nice and feel it is crafted to suit local taste to some degree. It would be nice if there is a little more dimensions to some of the food. I'm a little disappointed that the chimichunga was not as crunchy as I expected since it was fried. Popcon chicken had a nice spicy kick to it. Please do not take them as critics, rather, a difference in taste buds. I recommend trying at least once; come with friends and chill out a little, order some loaded nachos Seems to be pet friendly as there was a patron who brought in a dog and was shown a seat.

Visited on a Wednesday before 7pm for dinner. Although there were only a few diners, the service was relatively slow. The restaurant has an open-air setup with good ventilation. However, the tables are quite small for groups of three or more — there’s barely enough space for more than three plates. I’d recommend making a reservation in advance if you prefer more comfortable seating, as walk-ins may be seated at the high tables and chairs, which aren’t my preference. The food was generally good and flavourful. We especially enjoyed the quesadillas — definitely a highlight! The only dish that didn’t quite work for us was the fried fish tacos.The price of food here are on the high side. Overall, a decent dining experience with some room for improvement in service and seating arrangements.

Been seeing Chimichanga all over my feed so we finally tried it — and yeah, the hype is real 🌮🔥 Started strong with the Chipotle Chicken Chimichanga 🌶️🌯 — spicy & smoky chicken wrapped in a soft flour tortilla, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, topped with crema and pico de gallo. Comfort food but bold, not greasy, and seriously addictive 😋 The Borracho Fish Taco 🐟🍺 was a moment. IPA-battered white fish was light and crunchy, paired with sweet mango salsa 🥭, pickled shallots, red cabbage, jalapeño mayo and crema. Fresh, tangy, a little spicy — every bite had something going on 😍 Adobo Lamb Cutlets 🐑 surprised us in the best way. Super tender and well-marinated, served with confit potatoes 🥔 and greens 🥗 — rich, flavourful, but still nicely balanced ✨ Also tried the quesadilla 🧀 — stuffed with shredded ancho beef 🥩, smoky and flavour-packed, cheesy, crispy, the kind that makes you pause mid-chew like “okay… this slaps” 🤌 Not forgetting the drinks 🍹 Cocktails 🍸, margaritas 🍋, mocktails 🥤, juices 🧃 — you name it, they have it. Everything paired so well with the food and honestly elevated the whole experience 😎 Overall vibes: big flavours, colourful plates 🌈, great drinks, and food made for sharing. Chimichanga is one of those spots you come for the vibes but stay because the food actually hits 😮‍🔥🌮 Would 100% come back hungry 💯

Really enjoyed my visit!! The food was great, the service was prompt, and the whole experience felt welcoming from start to finish. Huge thanks to Yugen and Tina for their outstanding service as both were professional, friendly, and went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

Fish tacos and chicken quesadillas were awesome! Enjoyed the summer bliss cocktail too. Nachos chips were alright, guacamole dip had fish elements. Ambience super chill, great for dates. Service fantastic, unobtrusive yet prompt, water topped up regularly. Highly recommend for dates.
