We met with a few interior designers before deciding on Yang Farn from Charlotte’s Carpentry, and what really set him apart was how responsive and patient he was from the very beginning. Throughout our discussions, he never rushed us into decisions and was always willing to explore different ideas with us. No matter how many questions we had, he remained patient and explained everything clearly, which made us feel comfortable and confident in moving forward with him. He took the time to understand our needs, preferences, and lifestyle, which really showed in the final result. His design ideas were both creative and practical. Any minor hiccups along the way were handled professionally and resolved quickly. His responsiveness and willingness to help made the entire process much smoother, and we’re really glad we chose him for our renovation. The workmanship and quality of materials used were excellent as well! Overall, we are extremely satisfied and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable interior designer.

I would like to thank Charlotte’s Carpentry and my ID, Lee Yang Farn, for the excellent renovation work done for my BTO. As I was working overseas when I received my BTO around July 2025, the renovation process could have been difficult, but Yang Farn coordinated everything patiently with me through WhatsApp video calls. We discussed tile selections, carpentry designs, furniture styles, lighting, and colour combinations remotely, and whenever I returned to Singapore for short trips, he would arrange appointments and site discussions efficiently. The renovation was completed in January 2026, and I am very pleased with the final outcome. The workmanship and finishing turned out beautifully, and the house feels exactly the way I envisioned it. What I appreciated most was his after-sales service. Whenever I texted him regarding minor touch-ups, he would respond promptly and arrange for them to be fixed. I also realised after completion that I had forgotten to install a living room air-conditioner, and Yang Farn helped to coordinate the additional works, including liaising with the air-con contractor, arranging the piping, boxing-up, and repainting works. Thank you once again to Yang Farn and the Charlotte’s Carpentry team for making this renovation journey smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

We chose Jim Lee from Charlottes Carpentry, and we are so glad to have him as our ID. Responsive and reliable: Communication was very important to us, and Jim never disappointed. No matter how often we reached out, he was quick to respond. Whenever issues or defects were pointed out, he took prompt action and ensured they were resolved within a short time. His attentiveness gave us peace of mind throughout the renovation. Strong project coordination. Adaptable and understanding: Jim was patient and accommodating whenever changes were needed, making the entire process far less stressful than we expected. My wife and I with a relatively popular design, the japandi-scandi color themes, and renovation was completed almost 2 months ago. What we liked about the entire renovation process: 1. Certain group of workers made effort to deliver and showed love for the house. The tilers, carpenters were noteworthy. Electricians were ok, a little expensive but no major issues 2. The ID Yang Horng has great technical depth and problem solving skills, and he is responsive. If you need to understand more about certain materials, considerations, and still try to get good balance between aesthetics and practicality, he is great in that. We went with some vendors separately instead of including everything from the ID, the cost was still a little higher than we expected but within reasonable boundaries. Parting thoughts: The house is a co-creation process, working with an ID should also (if time/effort permits) involve input and involvement from the houseowners too. Every renovation has problems, some by no fault of the ID firm, and the real challenge comes from identifying and fixing them together. Best if they are identified early! Thank you.
