The rigour of the H2 chemistry syllabus and the huge jump from secondary to jc chemistry posed as a mountainous hurdle when I first started my jc journey. That's when i joined Ms Akhila's chemistry lessons which helped me overcome these challenges and eventually get an A in h2 chem a levels. When it comes to teaching content, the notes are short and sweet. They cover what you need to know with thorough explanations and are packed with numerous practice questions that Ms Akhila runs through in class. This allows students to develop a thorough foundational understanding of each chapter. Since many chapters are interconnected, this thorough foundation was pivotal in later parts of the year. For exam prep, Ms Akhila gives many revision sets that prepare you thoroughly for the paper. These revision sets are additional to the normal content notes and they help further deepen understanding and teach how you can apply your knowledge in questions. Ms Akhila is a deeply committed and caring teacher with an obvious passion for teaching and chemistry. She is always ready to stay back to clarify doubts, set up consultations, or schedule extra lessons to offer support and meet every student's needs. She is extremely approachable and is also available beyond class hours where you can text her to clarify immediate doubts. Her consistent guidance and unwavering support eventually helped me achieve an A in chem a levels. I couldn't have done it without her.

Before joining, my understanding of Chemistry was shallow and lacked depth. Dr Akhila's lesson really helped me understand the various Chemistry concepts on a deeper level. She would often have quizzes as well as very detailed notes that further helped in my learning process. Dr Akhila was also very encouraging and helped me gain confidence in my answering techniques through rigorous practices pushing me to strive toward excellence. I was always able to clarify my doubts with Dr Akhila whenever and whenever. Dr Akhila would also often make the effort to provide further after class support to patiently answer my question and her lessons encompasses both visual and audio learning allowing me to look back at the lesson recordings and catch up on the lessons I have missed. Thanks to Dr Akhila I was able to get my A grade for H2 Chemistry for A levels.

Before joining Akhila teacher's lessons, Chemistry was honestly one of my weakest subjects — I was scoring an E in JC1 and constantly felt lost and unsure of how to improve. Her lessons completely changed that. She explains difficult concepts in a very clear and structured way, and always makes sure we truly understand instead of just memorising. She provided us with tons of practice questions, concise notes, and access to many extra resources that really helped reinforce our learning. More importantly, she was always patient and approachable, regularly checking in to see if we needed help. With her guidance, I was able to overcome my weaknesses and build confidence in the subject — improving from an E in JC1 to an A in my A Levels. I’m truly grateful for her support and dedication!

I joined Dr Akhila’s class in the middle of J1, after getting poor results in my exams. I felt really defeated, because my efforts were not translated to good results. Dr Akhila was very kind and patient, always there to address my queries and learning gaps. She consistently checked up on me to make sure I was on track with my progress. Her teaching method suited me well, allowing me to make deeper connections and have a better understanding of the topics. I started performing better for Chemistry in J2 and felt more confident in my performance. I started with an S grade and now I obtained a B in A levels. Mr Tan taught me both H2 Physics and H2 Mathematics. I appreciate how his lessons are structured, it really deepened my understanding for both subjects as he always goes straight to the point, and identify areas where students often make mistakes on. He even provide useful notes that are concise and easy to understand. Thanks to his help, I managed to get an A for H2 Math for A levels (from an S when I first joined h2 math tuition 💀) whereas for physics, I managed to improve 2 grades from prelims and I'm really grateful for Mr Tan's help!!
