Food sucks for the price. My bf tried to bring me here before however the place was packed at the time and I felt claustrophobic but he wanted to me try this place because he promised me that I will love the mussles. Salmon dip tasted like Philadelphia salmon cream cheese paired with emergency food pantry crackers. At 32$ the mussels were terrible , all I could taste was salt and vinegar. Drinks were good but very small amount for the price. If you want amazing mussels go to Bluebird for around $20. I am only giving these place overall 3 stars because the services was great at the bar. This is just opinion, my bf tried to keep on convincing me that would is great and mussles are nice and spicy but I was very disappointed and ended up going home and not even sleeping with him. For mussles and salmon dip and 3 drinks it was 100$ pre tip.
First time here, great food, and the waitress was amazing very attentive. Where did the chicken the salmon in the pork Milanese all very good meals the desserts especially the banana bread was amazing. The rest is a cute quaint corner location really easy to get to overall we love the place and we definitely will be back
We showed up at 5:30pm on a Friday without a reservation (party of 3). They opened at 5pm, so we assumed we were okay to just walk in. They were almost completely booked already! The hostess was able to seat us with a warning that she would need our table back in 1 hour for a previously booked reservation. We agreed and sat. Good took a little while to arrive, but we did order half a chicken and burgers, so it was to be expected. Food was delicious! Appetizers were amazin4g! I could definitely return just to sit at the bar and have wine and appetizers. The music was nice. They had the games on the bar tv, which we could see from our table. The waitress was funy. We had a nice experience.
I can not express how much my wife and family have enjoyed Buttonwood. You start your meal eating a delicious corn bread. I know, I know, how good can corn bread be? Well it was incredible. The Bar has a great selection of beers and mixed drinks. Next we had the burrata, which had a great mix of flavors with pesto and apple fig jam. AMAZING!!!!!! I had the risotto which I usually think does not touch my mother's risotto. This one went above and beyond. The waitstaff was very on the ball and helpful. Atmosphere was terrific, not too loud, as some places are, while still having a fun atmosphere. LOVE-LOVE-LOVE this place!!! I will for sure be coming back
We went to buttonwood for dinner on a Thursday night and it got filled up pretty quickly. Started out with a hot and dirty and my friend had a sangria, both of with were amazing. I keep coming back for the pork tallow fires and even tho it is a side, I like getting it as an appetizer. The best fries you will ever have. For the mains I got the Pork Milanese, it was perfectly crispy and juicy. The mustard sauce added a lot of flavor as well. My friends got the chicken which was hit and the risotto which was extremely satiating. For desert their signature B3 ice cream cannot be beat. It had brown sugar, brown butter and brownie bites. Always save space for a scoop of that. If you are in the Newton area, this is a must try. They are open for limited hours so be sure to check that. There is also outdoor seating with a nice view in the summers.
