Bukit Panjang Hawker Centre & Market

First time explore this hawker centre. Many stalls here and I like the Curry Rice stall. The environment is kind of a little bit squeeze , my own feeling. Typical hawkers centre style here. Surprisingly there are some more shop and restaurants on the 3rd floor.

Heartland hawker centre with a nice kampung feel. The ground floor is lively in the morning, with many seniors coming for breakfast, kopi & a good chat. Upstairs is the wet market, though many stalls are closed on Mondays. Simple, affordable food & a familiar community vibe — a place many residents clearly enjoy.

The building looks big but the number of eating stalls housed is only at level one. We ordered bak chor mee which was ordinary — the liver slices were thin but tender. The mee pok was too al dante. The chilli sauce in the noodles was not spicy and rather bland. At least there is tasty soup where you could add in tang-chye. We also ordered Laksa from the Muslim stall. The beoth was very lemak and ingredients such as chicken pieces were generous. Worth eating for $4.50.

There are lots of good food options here, especially Lor Mee, Laksa, Abang Tarik Coffee & fried fritters, Roti Prata, Masala Thosai, and more. Additionally, there are a stall worth checking out: 'Hainanese Beef Noodles and Claypot Rice'. The prices of most food items in this hawker centre are quite reasonable. Today I found a new stall selling kebabs. They have so many options to choose from: wraps, pizzas, burritos, nasi biryani, and more. Since this was my first time trying kebab, I asked the stall owner to explain the difference between wraps and burritos. I decided on a chicken wrap. It was so good that I’ll try a burrito next time. There’s also a relatively new stall selling Pig’s Organ Soup, Bak Kut Teh, and Braised Trotter. I tried the Black Vinegar Pork Trotter with egg. The taste was good, but the portion was quite small without rice, which is charged separately.
