I booked this tour to learn more about the local culture, and it truly delivered. From the moment we met, my guide, Endimo, was exceptional—warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing his insights. The tour was incredibly informative, offering deep cultural and historical context that made every stop meaningful. We started in Havana and then ventured to the nearby city of Guanabacoa, where we explored its rich traditions and heritage. The experience was immersive, beginning with engaging storytelling and followed by a delicious, authentic lunch that showcased local flavors. One of the highlights was the musical activity, where we not only learned about the rhythms and instruments but were also invited to participate, making it a truly interactive and memorable moment. First of all, I would like to comment that I love the quality of the products in this store. However, my aunt had a bad experience when she went to buy some products, among them a styling cream. It was the first time she was going to buy the cream and in addition to the bad treatment she was given at the reception they asked her in a bad way if she had not brought a container to buy the cream. So we suggest to the people in charge of the store, please treat all customers equally, we understand that the situation is difficult in Cuba, but do not add a bad service when you treat the Cubans, it would also be very good, at least for the first few times always offer the products in a container of good taste, and then, you explain to the customer that the next time take one, I think the customers are not soothsayers to walk with a container always in the bag to buy a particular product. I reiterate, the products are of very good quality, but they should improve the customer experience, regardless of social class or nationality. I wish you much success and prosperity, the idea of this store is great.

Amazing experience through and through. Went during a bachelor party weekend and the history and connection to us all as black men and some as Nigerian men in particular. Would recommend this experience to any and everyone. A true way to see the roots of Cuba 🇨🇺

During my visit to Havana in June, I had the opportunity to visit the Beyond Roots store and tour. I am beyond grateful for tour guides insight and sincerity. Beyond roots was beyond amazing!! As someone with Afro Cuban roots this experience was incredibly meaningful and special. Endimo was an exceptional guide with impeccable English and a rich cultural knowledge. Surama’s food and hospitality were unmatched and the musicians were so patient and friendly. But the true gem here is Adriana. A self starter who does right by here family, community and ancestors. To understand her success is to know what's she's overcomed and achieved.
