We used to come here for the family weekend gatherings. They provide very good seafood and steak, as well as Paella. Of course, the must order sea bass is always our must order dish. We do enjoy and like it.
Honest review here. Celebrated my husband's Bday with family (kids and adults) so I gave the restaurant my pre-orders and constantly communicated with them about timing and bringing my own wine and cake. They were accommodating but said I had to buy 1 bottle of wine and 1 dessert, which we were ok with. Overall I thought the food was great and that the service staff were quite attentive and friendly, changing our plates and filling up our glases when needed. But I think the kitchen / staff could have done the pacing of the food better. The great/good: - really nice grilled octopus dish with potato Galician style. It tasted very unique and had a slightly charred aroma. Delightful. - the seafood Paella was had a nice char and flavorful seafood aroma. My father in law really likes Paella and thought this was pretty well done. - also loved the Suckling Pig and Padron Peppers. Th Suckling Pig was nice and moist, and paired really well with the grilled padron peppers. - the place has lively, chill vibe perfect for family and friend gatherings The not so good: - our dessert - though ordered alot earlier - took about 20 mins to arrive after we were all done with desserts - some of the food arrived very quickly at the beginning then somehow towards the end the service became abit slower (see note on dessert) - they forgot about 1 croquette starter dish even though I had ordered 2. I had to remind them and by that time we were already into the mains - they wanted to serve me a dish I hadn't ordered and the waitress looked abit confused when I told her it wasnt mine , luckily it wasnt on the bill because we didnt touch it and she took it back straight away. Overall, my guests were impressed with the food and said it was good. Am happy to recommend this place to other guests and would come back ! Thanks Barrio !
Barrio Spanish Restaurant delivers an exceptional dining experience. The food is superb—thoughtfully prepared, full of authentic Spanish flavors, and consistently impressive across dishes. Special recognition goes to Chef Jia, whose attention to detail and execution truly stand out. The service is equally outstanding, with Vivian and the team providing warm, attentive, and professional hospitality throughout the meal. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, enhanced by tasteful Spanish décor that adds to the overall charm. A highly recommended spot for anyone seeking quality Spanish cuisine paired with excellent service.
Choose this spot for my birthday with my family on a Sunday lunch. We when arrived at 12pm, the entire restaurant was strangely empty which felt strange. Nonetheless we proceeded to order our food and drinks and enjoyed everything. Sangria was refreshing, beer was fresh and crisp, every food item was also well portioned and tasted on point. I had no fault with any of the items ordered. The paella especially had a generous amount of seafood. Very satisfied with this place! Interior also seemed pretty new and bright and clean, I like the map of Spain especially at the entrance as it reminded me of my time there. At the end, the lunch crowd slowly streamed in. I guess people there generally eat a little later than usual.
Enjoyable dinner. Steak is done the way we wanted, medium rare, tender and juicy. Didn't like the pork belly and seafood topping in the paella. Churro is good. Overall food served quickly.
