Baro is one of my favourite patios in the city. It’s truly a hidden gem in Toronto, with a vibrant atmosphere and great energy, especially during the warmer months. I’ve tried most of the new menu items and really enjoyed them. The food, drinks, and ambiance make it a perfect spot for social gatherings, date nights, or special celebrations. The service is always attentive and professional, which makes the overall experience even better. Highly recommend checking out the patio experience here!

Ate here for dinner with friends over the weekend and we really had a good time! The ambience was great (the music wasn't too loud in my opinion) and the interior design is well thought out. The food was great as well, quite delicious and each dish was a good sized portion. We shared dishes so that we could taste all of them! Service was okay but I feel like there could be some room for improvement. Although our server was friendly, he didn't check on our table as often (whether we needed more drinks or water). It's not the worst service I've seen but I still recommend checking out this spot.

I visited Baro for a company Christmas lunch with my team of four, with our reservation running from 6:00–8:00 p.m. We were seated immediately with no wait, which was great, but the fixed two-hour window did make the evening feel a bit rushed—especially knowing another group was booked right after us. The restaurant itself has a lively, energetic atmosphere, and overall we had a good time. Service was a strong point: our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and walked us through the menu without rushing us to order, which we really appreciated. As for the food, it was good but nothing particularly memorable, especially considering the price point (which is on the higher side for the area). The standout dish for me was the duck fried rice, which was genuinely very good. The other mains and appetizers were decent and reasonably executed, but none really stood out as exceptional. We also tried a few desserts. Some were enjoyable, but others were just okay. The purple yam (ube) cake in particular wasn’t my favourite—it was very sticky, which may just be the nature of the dessert, but it didn’t work for me. Spice levels are fairly mild overall, but there is still a noticeable kick. If you’re sensitive to spice, it’s worth asking for it toned down. Overall: a pleasant experience with great service and a fun atmosphere, but slightly underwhelming food given the pricing. I’d say it’s worth trying at least once, especially for group dinners or work events—but don’t go in expecting anything mind-blowing from the menu.

My friend and I had dinner at BARO and it was amazing. Our server was Amy. She was very attentive and engaging. We had a wonderful time and will recommend it to others. Can’t wait to come back. Amy was amazing.

I brought my friend to Baro on a Wednesday evening for her birthday and we enjoyed it so much! The ambiance on this place is incredible, they have a free coat check which is I think it’s great!, the service was outstanding and the food was delicious! We ordered the Tuna Ceviche, the beef empanadas, the fried seafood and the grilled octopus to start, everything was done to perfection, then we order the ravioli and the barbacoa and it was all amazing ! We had margaritas and white wine and they brought my friend a delicious cake for her birthday that was just the right amount of sweetness after a fantastic meal ! We will definitely come back here to see the rooftop! One thing I would have liked to see, was some sort of happy hour and the wine sold per bottle. I would definitely come back to try the winterlicious menu!
