The banh mi is massive and generously packed with a variety of hams. Itβs easily filling enough for a full dinner. Taste wise, it is definitely better than many other banh mi spots out there. However, the pricing is slightly on the higher side, especially for a HDB void deck shop. The low tables and chairs feel very authentically Vietnamese, and sort of charming feel. They also leave wet tissues on the tables for guests to clean up after their meal, we really appreciate this simple, yet great idea (should expand to food courts).
Just back from HAN and DAD and had a craving for decent BM so decided to check this out. Had grilled pork takeaway BM. Overall a little too sweet for my liking and the absence of coriander notes or stuffed greens π₯¬ makes it a little incomplete. Fillings are well stuffed and much bigger and heartier than your usual BM. Nice seating environment and feels just like in VN
Definitely become my must visit place in Singapore! The meat is soooo generous, flavour is super strong and bold, all the ingredients are fresh, actually 1 full loaf can share 2people bcs it's so huge and so full packed. Cant wait to come back here again, but defo need to wait extra time since the queue here is crazyπ€£ Prefer the pork patty compared to the roast pork, much more juicy and tender and flavourful. The siobak one is quite plain and the meat is not really seasoned
We ordered a beef pho $12.90 & roast pork bahnmi $10.90 for breakfast. Similar pricing for most bahnmi places but here is value for money cos of as many other reviews said, they give generous amount of meats. Beef pho soup also had a lot of meats but was on the sweeter side so not really my thing, but maybe I was also so wowed by the roast pork bahnmi I majorly regretted ordering pho π the bahnmi was really good, the roast pork & baguette were both crispy, paired with the sauces & vegetables, perfect combo. I cant wait to go back & have 1 whole bahnmi to myself the next time!
Today, I decided to try Banh Mi Saigon located at 505 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, a popular Vietnamese eatery that has built a loyal following among food lovers. Having heard positive reviews about their bÑnh mì, I was curious to see if it lived up to the hype. Upon arriving, I was impressed by the neat presentation of the food and the clean, welcoming environment. I ordered one of their signature bÑnh mì sandwiches and eagerly awaited my lunch. The first thing I noticed was the bread. The baguette was wonderfully crispy on the outside while remaining light and airy on the inside. Each bite delivered that satisfying crunch that is essential to a good bÑnh mì. The fillings were generous and well-balanced, combining fresh vegetables, herbs, pickled ingredients, and flavourful meat. The contrast of textures and flavours created a delicious harmony that kept me reaching for the next bite. What stood out most was the freshness of the ingredients. Everything tasted carefully prepared, and the presentation reflected the attention to detail that went into the sandwich. It was evident that quality was a priority. I must admit that the price was on the higher side. At $9.90 for a bÑnh mì, it is considerably more expensive than many other versions available around Singapore. However, after finishing the meal, I could understand why. The quality of the ingredients, the excellent taste, and the attractive presentation justified the premium pricing. Overall, my visit to Banh Mi Saigon was a very enjoyable experience. While it may not be the cheapest bÑnh mì in town, it is certainly one of the better ones I have tasted. If you appreciate quality ingredients and authentic flavours, this is a place worth visiting when you are in Ang Mo Kio.
