Altitude Rooftop Bar & Lounge

Altitude Rooftop Bar and Lounge is an amazing bar that offers almost panoramic views of the sea. The best time to head here is the twilight hour as the sun sets and the city lights turn on. The live band was not lively imho The food is decent but certainly expensive. We chose to seat ourselves on the sofa that was in a kind of a well ( sorry not deep and no water). A minimum spend is required at choice seating areas including the sofa well. Service was spic and span, ever attentive. The bar tender would make drinks that were even not on the menu if you requested politely. The drinks were crisp and fresh, however didn't carry the beer experience as they were not served in traditional beer mugs. That was a dampener. Nuts were served on free flow. Impressive.

Great light sunset dinner overseeing some parts of Batam. Ambience is good with DJ and live music alternating every hour. Would not say it is the most affordable place to get food and beverages, but you spend for the view and vibe. All the staff were friendly and we had a good enjoyable conversation with one of them. We also got unlimited refillable peanuts 🥜

I had a great overall experience at Altitude. The evening started off well with a smooth check-in at the host stand. We were seated quickly, and the team was proactive in introducing the current beverage promotions. A special thanks to Andreas, who was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to take some great photos for us! The live band and DJ also created a fantastic vibe for the evening. The food was excellent. We ordered the Striploin and the Fish n Chips. The steak doneness was exactly as requested (on point!), and the fish was fried to perfection—crispy and fresh. Areas for Improvement There are two things that could make the experience even better: 1. Menu Variety: The selection is currently a bit limited. I was really hoping to see some pizza or pasta options on the menu. 2. Temperature: The area where we were seated felt quite hot. It would be great if the management could consider installing ceiling fans or additional cooling to improve comfort. Despite the heat, the service and food quality make it a spot worth visiting!

We had a superb experience at Altitude Rooftop & Lounge, Marriott Batam, celebrating my husband’s birthday. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The staff were incredibly accommodating and hospitable—they even helped us take a beautiful photo to capture the moment. Ferdi, one of the staff, recommended and served great food catered for my husband's food restrictions, and they truly went above and beyond by surprising us with a birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday, which made the night extra special. The singer and guitarist were amazing and kindly granted our song requests, adding to the wonderful atmosphere. Special mention as well to the one mixing the drinks—such a nice touch to receive complimentary drinks. The view was stunning, the ambience and music were perfect, and the food was delicious. An unforgettable experience—we’ll definitely be back.

Came here to chill. Get a nice view of the harbor. Prices here are on the higher side. Service here is great! Staff are pretty assertive. I guess they must have a lot of foreigners visited before. They have this dessert called Baked Alaska (Rp85k) that’s really ig worthy. Rmb to take video of it! Also ordered some drinks that’s about Rp250k ea. There’s also a liveband at around 8pm. It’s an acoustic band that’s not too loud which is nice. Total dmg about Rp800k for 3 pax. Overall it’s a nice experience!
