Excellent food and service. We had the lava bread with an assortment of meze as a starter, which gave us a lovely taste of everything - and everything was delicious. For our main, we had the supreme meat platter, which was nicely flavoured without being too salty. Service was also great - friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Jenny gave us good advice on portion control, and the food was served in a well-paced order. I also appreciated the proactive WhatsApp communication, including the reservation reminder and Google Maps location. Overall, a very enjoyable meal. We will be back with other friends!
Hi Everyone, I’m a picky-as-hell foodie, and I’m sure you’re one as well. Therefore I would like to share my experience with some top-notch Turkish food at Bussorah Street, just about less than 10 min slow walk from the Village Hotel at Bugis. Alaturka’s service is attentive and warm. As it was the first time that my wife and I ever dined here, we ordered the “platter” items. First up was the colorful Meze Tabagi, an assortment of flavorful dips that comes with complimentary bread. We were advised to start with the humus, and savour the dips in clockwise direction, from the lightest to the most intense. A small would suffice for a party of 2, and you may want to consider an extra portion of bread. Really yummy. Next we got ourselves the Supreme platter for 2. Comes with wagyu steak, lamb chops, and mutton and chicken kebabs (slightly spicy), a portion of rice and fresh garden greens topped with prune sauce. My wife and I were for the Wagyu as it tasted way way better than most steak houses. The lamb chops were tender and grilled with crispy sides, but the portion could be a tad bigger. The kebabs were intense, tender and so well marinated and they help you clear the rice (we ordered a second portion of rice). Unfortunately we didn’t had the storage space for desserts but we will go back for more! Lastly, one of the better restaurants with high MPD earnings if you pay by Kris+. The restaurant is a little small, and I would recommend to make reservations in advance. Nice deco, not your typical blue white and more blue and white Mediterranean colour scheme, and with its delicious menu, it actually stands out from the other mainstream Turkish restaurants. Hope you will enjoy your visit to Alaturka!
Alaturka Mediterranean & Turkish Restaurant made for a really enjoyable meal. I liked how full of flavor everything was, and the dishes felt thoughtfully prepared without being overdone. Even though the note was brief, the overall experience left a strong impression on me, and I would happily go back again.
Food and service are excellent. Mesa Tabagi is a perfect starter. It goes so well with the fresh baked bread. Grilled meat and seafood platter is exceptional. The lamb is very tender and tasty. The fish is soooo fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I had one of the most delicious lunches I’ve enjoyed in a long time at a quaint little restaurant tucked along the bustling lane of Bussorah Street. The moment I stepped through the doorway, a tranquil calm washed over me, and I was warmly greeted by the cheerful service staff. Lunch was thoughtfully curated by the manager, and while waiting, I wandered around to admire the walls adorned with delicate watercolour paintings of the very ingredients used in their dishes. These simple yet soulful artworks were soothing, almost meditative, and added to the charm of the space. When the food arrived, I couldn’t resist tearing off a piece of the fragrant, steaming hot lavash before it was even properly served. Having skipped breakfast, I was determined to savour this single meal without restraint. Then came the meat platter—an impressive spread that immediately caught my attention. The smoky aroma mingled with the rich scent of spices, and each bite was utterly delicious. As I savored the meal, each bite revealed the care and craftsmanship behind every dish. It was clear that a great deal of passion went into its preparation. By the end, I was left completely satisfied—content, satiated, and delightfully full. I’ll certainly be back. The ambience and the food truly reflect the soul of this little restaurant with a big heart.
