Abundance: Taiwanese Restaurant & Craft Beer Bar (Jalan Besar)

We had a really enjoyable dining experience here, with food that goes well beyond expections. We ordered a variety of dishes, and a few truly stood out. The Niu Yolk fried rice was fragrant, especially with the rich truffle aroma that made it extra indulgent. The kai lan had that perfect wok hei that was smoky, aromatic and cooked just right. The gong bao squid was flavourful, tender and well balanced. To wrap up the meal, the peanut and black sesame roll was a great choice. It was fragrant and not overly sweet with a pleasantly chewy texture. The vibe of the place is cozy and welcoming, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Service was also commendable with staffs that were friendly and offered recommendations that really enhanced our dining experience.

We tried this Taiwanese zi char restaurant and overall it was a pretty good experience. It’s a modern take on Taiwanese food, and they also have a bar inside serving craft beers and cocktails. We went in without much expectation, but the food turned out better than we thought. Staff were also friendly and attentive. We ordered quite a few dishes to share. The mini bun-dle was fun with different buns, and the beef noodles stood out with tender meat and flavourful broth. The san bei mushrooms were also one of our favourites, and the spicy dumplings had a nice bite and texture. Other dishes like the winter melon pork ribs soup, mapo tofu, and vegetables were decent and comforting. We also ended with the peanut ice cream roll, which felt like a nice Taiwanese street snack. Overall, a solid place for sharing food with friends or family.

We tried the set meal and thought it was really good value for money. The food was tasty and the gua bao was enjoyable. What impressed us most was the service. The staff were so sincere, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. You can really feel the effort they put into making customers feel comfortable. Overall, we had a great meal and a lovely experience. Will definitely be back again!

We went there after reading google reviews. That was a perfect sweet spot during our Singapore trip. Everything was good. Staffs were super friendly and polite. Even though we dont know the language they helped us selecting dishes and explained everything. Rate was reasonable. For 5 people about 92 sgd spent. That was a normal rate when compared to other shopes. Taste was amazing. We really liked the Taiwanese cuisine. Flavourful and fresh dishes. Spiciness was adequate. We enjoyed all dishes from the heart. Highly recommended to all tourists ❤️❤️❤️ We really enjoyed our meal ❤️

After having such a great experience at their original Lengkok Bahru outlet, we decided to check out this branch. Once again, the service was genuinely excellent and the food was consistently good! ​We tried several dishes this time, exploring some of their new 'Taiwanese Delights' like the Spicy Sesame Dumplings and the comforting Winter Melon Pork Ribs Soup. We also had the Prawn Paste Chicken Fried Rice, Braised Beef Bowl and Dark Noodles. The portions were hearty and everything was tasty. ​However, after trying a wider variety of their menu, I still firmly feel that Abundance’s true strengths lie in four specific things: their noodles, their buns, their crispy fried chicken and their peanut ice cream roll. The noodles consistently impress with their flavour and perfectly chewy, al dente texture. Even though we skipped the buns this time around (we absolutely loved the Gua Bao and CCB during our last visit!), they remain a standout. The crispy fried chicken, whether in the buns or on the fried rice (or on its own), is always perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, while also perfectly seasoned. ​For dessert, we ordered our favourite Peanut Ice Cream Roll and decided to try the Roasted Peanut Mochi. The ice cream roll is still a 10/10 must-try. The sweet and savoury combination is just perfectly balanced. The peanut mochi was good and had a nice soft bite to it, but it was a bit too sweet for our personal liking compared to the roll. ​Overall, this remains one of our favourite spots for Taiwanese food. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and fantastic core dishes. Will definitely be back (and I'm definitely ordering the buns next time!).
