20260111- A-FACTORY is a fun and tasty stop for anyone visiting Aomori, especially if you love apples. The place offers an impressive variety of apple-based snacks, including cakes, pies, apple puffs, dried apples, and many other creative treats. It’s a great spot to buy souvenirs or simply enjoy buying the small packs to try the different local flavors. There is also a restaurant inside, which makes it convenient to take a break and have a proper meal. The highlight for me was the burger with apple – a surprisingly delicious combination that balances savory and sweet really well, and definitely something unique to try. There is also a restaurant that serves steak at level 2. It can get quite busy during peak hours, and prices are a bit higher than regular shops, which is why it’s not a full five stars. Still, for quality, creativity, and a true Aomori apple experience, A-FACTORY is well worth a visit.

Located right next to Aomori Station, it's very convenient to get to and offers a wide selection of high-quality local products. Their apple-based sweets, in particular, are delicious and beautifully packaged, making them perfect gifts. The apple gelato on the ground floor is a must-try. If you're looking for the best of Aomori, this is the only place you need to find it!

So many apple products to choose from and they all look so tasty. We did the cider tasting which is 1000 yen for four samples or 2000 yen for 8 samples. We also ate at the bakery downstairs but forgot to take a photo. A must visit place especially on a snowy day like today so you can warm up inside the shop

This is a souvenir shopping center that is supposed to be dedicated to apple, the fruit. It has a few processing tanks to make ciders and things. Overall, a nice area near the pier for people to wonder and perhaps getting something apple related gifts.

This is a great place for any tourist visiting Aomori. Outside the building, there're great views of the Aomori Bay Bridge, Hakkoda Maru memorial ship, Aomori sign and skyline of the city. Inside the building, you'll find anything Aomori, souvenirs, yummy apple desserts and Gelato, apple cider tasting (800¥ for 4 sips), coffee, and varieties of apples. There's even a chart of the sweetness levels of each. Ocean's Diner offers "Not Fast Food" burgers, from Apple burger to Hakkoda Wagyu cheese burger. Note that they take a break from 3-4pm. For the cider tasting, go to 2F and purchase the card at Galleteria da Sasino then use it to choose the ciders from the venerated dispenser machines. We came here twice, and the day that Holland America cruise ship docked at the port, this place is a lot busier. If you purchase more than 6000¥, you could take advantage of duty free shopping and the friendly staff will put all your purchased items in a sealed bag. Aomori is such a charming city.
