Due to rising electricity bills and in the hope of helping to curb global warming, I installed a solar power generation system with storage batteries. I met with several companies, but decided on Riken Energy because the sales representative was honest and didn't push their sales pitch on me, and because my company is relatively close by. The construction went smoothly until completion, and we're currently generating electricity without any issues. The on-site staff were also polite and friendly, both in terms of the pre-construction site inspection and the installation on the day. On a more minor note, my neighbor complained because the construction notice to the neighborhood was only given the day before the work began. This was partly due to my own lack of checking, but it would have been appreciated if they had informed me a week in advance. For all these reasons, I've given them four stars. We installed the panels in October, and even without the south-facing panels, our electricity bill is less than half of last January's 725kWh, with approximately 300kWh purchased and 400kWh generated this year. I think the electricity bill would be even more efficient in the summer, and considering rising electricity bills, it's even more beneficial to our household budget.

After learning about the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's subsidy program, I requested their installation after receiving competitive quotes from five companies. I considered their in-house installation, track record, and of course price, but the biggest deciding factor was the sales representative's excellent proposal. Pros - They made every effort to fit as many panels as possible. Since they installed the panels themselves, I had plenty of flexibility in terms of panel placement. - They patiently answered all my questions about subsidies and other matters. - They didn't push any specific products (Hanwha panels are eligible for discounts). Cons - The planned installation date was postponed by two months from the date of the request. They said the panels wouldn't fit, but it ended up being right at the end of the year. Installation must be completed by the end of the year to apply for the subsidy. Payment was also rushed due to the application deadline. The installation was scheduled to be completed in one day (morning to evening), but perhaps because the electrical worker was inexperienced, it continued into the night. Furthermore, the battery setup wasn't completed that day, and we had to reset it again later. It's been a month since the installation, but the battery remote control is still malfunctioning. After the installation, damage was found on the battery cover. They eventually replaced it, but their initial response was that there was no damage after the installation and they weren't interested in replacing it. After the installation, snow accumulated, and snow fell from the panels onto the neighboring property. The neighbor later complained. There was no explanation in advance about snow falling from the panels, and to avoid any trouble with the neighbor, we decided to install snow guards. After discussions, they covered the cost of the scaffolding, but we had to pay for the snow guard hardware and installation costs. Overall, I don't think the company is bad, but I think the installation staff made a mistake. I recommend carefully considering snow falling from the panels before installing them. Unlike roofs, most solar panels have glass surfaces, allowing snow to slide off.

Furthermore, because our house is small, there was a limit to the number of solar panels we could install, but they provided a reasonable proposal and detailed explanations, which both my husband and I were happy with. We used their services to install a 4.82kW solar power generation system and a 14.9Wh storage battery. I chose them from among several other companies because of the personable staff and the low price. Communication leading up to the installation was smooth via LINE, which made the process easy and worry-free. I installed a large-capacity storage battery, so I was concerned about the size of the unit, but it is very thin and doesn't get in the way. The power conditioner was also wall-mounted, so there was no need to find space for it. On sunny days, the solar power generation and storage battery can cover almost a day's worth of electricity. I'm really glad I installed it. I recommend installing it if you live in Tokyo, as there are many subsidies available now!
