We had our house built by U-House! In conclusion, I think we made the best choice. Initially, we considered major house builders, but the typical exterior design of those builders (I don't know how to describe it, but it just didn't excite me) didn't motivate us. We wanted a house that would make us think, "This is a nice house," every day when we came home, so we started looking for a local builder. However, functionality (airtightness, insulation, earthquake resistance, etc.) was also essential, so we asked U-House to build our house, as they could achieve a good balance between design and functionality. What I think after living here is: "I should have built it sooner." Compared to when we were renting, our quality of life has skyrocketed. I'm especially glad we improved the insulation and adopted a whole-house air conditioning system. When we were looking at major house builders, they said we needed a huge, dedicated air conditioner for the whole-house system, and that we'd have to budget around 1.5 million yen for replacement every 10-15 years. I thought that was too cost-ineffective, so I wasn't interested in adopting it. At U-House, a single standard household air conditioner can provide whole-house air conditioning. We moved in during the peak of summer, but thanks to the high insulation, we can comfortably maintain a temperature of 27-28 degrees Celsius throughout the house. Being able to comfortably cool areas that are usually not cool, such as the dressing room and toilet, is, to put it mildly, fantastic. (It's especially effective after a bath in the summer! lol) I've written quite a lot, but to begin with, my wife preferred apartments and wasn't enthusiastic about a detached house. However, after seeing the U-House design (Lien in Kakamigahara), she said she might consider building one. A detached house is expensive, but I feel every day that it's a worthwhile investment. As a first-time home builder, I was quite nervous, but they were very helpful and answered even the smallest of questions, allowing me to proceed with peace of mind. The employees were all very nice, and I felt that the home-building process was enjoyable. They also carefully considered important elements of a home, such as airtightness, insulation, and earthquake resistance, so I feel like it's a house we can live in safely and with peace of mind. Our house was completed at the end of November, and we moved in. When we got home, it was very warm, and we could really feel the high level of performance. I also really like the feel of the solid wood floors under our feet. I chose U-House after an acquaintance recommended them, and I can confidently recommend them to others as a construction company!

We've only been here through winter so far, but it's been very comfortable living here. What particularly surprised me was that there's almost no condensation, even in winter. Condensation was a constant in our previous home, so I'm really happy that I don't have to worry about it in the mornings. The indoor temperature is stable, so I rarely feel the cold, and I can really feel the excellent performance of the house as a whole. I'm looking forward to summer coming up. They also took their time to discuss the coordination, spending the whole day with us. We went over even the smallest details together, and they listened carefully to our requests, which I think helped us create a home that we're happy with. They carefully built our home, and I'm glad we chose this builder.

I think that, as long as you have the blueprints, a building will look the same to an untrained eye, regardless of where it's built, even if the carpenters' skills differ. Even with a low-cost home builder, if you add a lot of options, you can get a decent house. Ultimately, I think the cost will end up being about the same as with a high-cost home builder. So why did we choose U-House? It's because of the trust we have in their staff. Trust can't be measured in money. Rather than saying we chose U-House, it was more accurate to say that we chose them because of their staff, and it just so happened that we ended up building our house with U-House. Of course, the quality of the building itself goes without saying.
