"I would not recommend working with Piranha as I unfortunately, found them to be unprofessional, untrustworthy, and disrespectful in their approach to clients. About to proceed with a website design and development project with Piranha, I requested bespoke confidentiality, website ownership, and copyright clauses to be included in the project proposal (which would act as the contract for the work). I simply and reasonably wanted to make sure that I legally owned the full website after completion (of course), and that my original works of authorship, such as the creative and design concepts that I was to provide Piranha with for the work be protected (again, of course). All entirely reasonable. Although I was advised that it was fine to include the confidentiality clause, I was sent an intellectual property and ownership clause by Piranha which did not adequately cover ownership of the full completed website itself (just the custom designs, graphics, and code created specifically for the project, but excluding any pre-existing or third-party components). It also did not cover adequately the copyright of the creative and design concepts which I was to provide Piranha with for the work. Such clauses would be crucial for avoiding future disputes and for maintaining the value of my own creations, especially when collaborating with the company. When I queried these points further with Piranha expecting a professional response, I was asked to have a call with the Project Manager, Ezekiel. Shockingly, during the call, I was bluntly advised that the management team had decided not to proceed with the work. It was made very clear to me that they would not implement any provision in the contract whatsoever that I would continue to own copyright for the original creative aspects and design concepts which I was to provide Piranha with! Also, they were not able to provide me with a clause that stated clearly that I would have full website ownership after completion! Major red flags. Rather than discuss the requested clauses in a professional manner, the response of the management team was to simply cancel the work. A web developer refusing to include a clause for full website ownership after completion is a major red flag. It was suggested that Piranha intended to retain ownership of some of the code, design, and assets, which could prevent me from making changes, switching developers, or controlling my own website in the future. I consider that this has shown Piranha to be a highly unprofessional, untrustworthy, and unethical company. If you use this company for your website design and development, be very careful about your contract, especially if you wish to own 100% of the digital assets created for you (of course), or if you have creative aspects and design concepts for your website, and do not want Piranha to claim copyright of your original works of authorship (of course). After this conduct, I would decline to work with Piranha in any instance. I would always wish to protect my investment, and work with a website design and development company that provides clauses as regards full website ownership, and clear intellectual property protection for creative concepts provided. Most do and a robust contract is legal protection. As regards their hosting, I was also initially quoted £100 per year for an SSL (site secure) certificate, which is expensive, when many modern hosts provide them for free. Only when I queried further, I was advised that they could use a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate instead of the £100 per year SSL option. I would recommend proceeding with caution with Piranha!"

"Techniq have just redone my website and what an outstanding job they have done. It’s gone from an info site to a sales site and they really put the work in. My ‘shop front’ really does what it says on the tin. Techniq were profesional, patient and pulled out all the stops, even out of hours, when I pushed the wrong button! Thank you for all your hard work. Highly recommend Chris and Emilia to push you a little further than you thought you could go! They really see the bigger picture when you are stuck! 🙌🙌🙌"

"Recently partnered with the team at Vega Gibraltar around one of the Startup Grind events, what stood out immediately was the energy and commitment they brought to it. Vega aren’t just running campaigns, they genuinely understand what it means to build a business. They’re founders themselves, and that shows in how they think, how they move and how much ownership they take. From the day we talked about strategy to execution, their support went beyond what you’d expect from an agency. High-energy, switched on, and fully invested in making things work. A strong team doing things properly. Looking forward to doing so much more."
